About Me

Lindsey M.E. Newton was raised in Northern Vermont before attending Syracuse University as a B.F.A Acting major. While there she focused on singing, Shakespeare, and movement/clowning. She appeared in the main-stage production of Stepping Out as Andy, as well as several faculty/student projects including A Little Night Music (Mme. Armfeldt), Twelfth Night (Maria), Zabelle (Mother and Young Zabelle), and Medea (Medea).

After graduating in 2017 Lindsey was seen on the 71st Annual Tony Awards during the Great Comet of 1812 performance. Along with other members of the SU Drama class of 2017, Lindsey sang in a Broadway Sessions Cabaret (linked below). She has appeared on several TV shows and movies as featured background including CBS’s Instinct and Showtime’s The Loudest Voice. She starred in North Street Playhouse’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Rona Lisa Peretti and went on to Lost Nation Theatre in Montpelier, VT where she played Margaret Leavitt in Silent Sky. In November 2019 Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective produced the third production of Zabelle with all of the original cast in Access Theater’s Black-box theater.
